Lying about their age...
« on: March 22, 2011, 04:25:11 PM »
Despite really wanting to find a sophisticated Chinese girl, given the HORDES of Filipinas on CB, I find myself at least looking at them. Most of them don't really do it for me, but there are some cuties.

Thing is, I try to keep my filters set between 25 and 35 (I'm 38). Some of these girls look even younger... one of them even had pictures saying "SC PROM NIGHT 2011" in the background, and she was supposedly 28.

Anyone have any thoughts/comments/observations?

From what I have seen, and what I have learned here, many (most!) asians look younger than their true age. Some look a LOT younger.   :o   ;D

Once you get more accustomed to looking at asian ladies, it becomes a little easier to guess their age... sometimes.  ;)  I am starting to get better at telling just by the picture who is from Korea, China, Japan and the Philippines, at least in a general sense.

Happy Hunting!
Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.

"SC PROM NIGHT 2011"
There are 3rd year (junior) & 4th year (senior) proms in the Philippines. Most students graduate from High School at age 16 or 17 years. Very likely that person could have been a chaperone, teacher or staff. Or it may well be someone lying about their age.

And yes, many Asians do look younger than their age.  ;D
If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?

I don't know about the Philippines, but certainly in Japan, China and Korea women are FAR less likely to lie about their ages than Western (and Latina) women. Unlike here, it's not considered impolite conversation in Asia to talk or ask about ages, and so very few lie about it. Jedi is right, it is shocking how young some 35, 40, 50, and even 60 year old women can look. I wouldn't assume that just because someone someone looks young that they're lying about their age.

Given so many guys are chasing the barely legal young thangs, I can't imagine why she would lie and state her age as older than she truly was.  I think kfc is right.  She may be staff or something.

If you post her picture, then maybe I'll have some observations. Until then, it would be nothing but pure speculation...  >:(

My 65 year old Chinese mother-in-law still weighs less than 100 pounds and is in great shape. Just like any other woman, how an Asian woman ages depends on her lifestyle - although I would say that their genetic makeup tends to give them an added advantage in this area.

Not too many women on dating sites lying about being older than they are....maybe fudging at and saying she's 18 when she's 17 to get on a site, but not 28 I wouldn't think.

My fiance is 29 but got a student discount at one shop we went to....I'm sure she'll get carded here all the time.

My wife is over 60 and looks better than she did at 45 - probably 15 lbs lighter and in better shape too because of all the yoga over the past 5 years.

Funny though... And I've seen it happen to some.

Hey thekfc.

Very true! Even a few of my daughter's vicenarian (twentysomething) elementary school teachers in the Philippines could pass as students. Many high school teachers could pass as students.
