ah yes
jaded interwebbers

I was more concerned for the safety of anyone who may also get a message from her

the guy juggling / prepago shyt never even entered my mind

i.e
airport pickup, subsequent robbery

wasnt trying to entertain anyone

do i need to know the secret handshake or something to post a warning here for it to be taken legitimately when theres open talk of spiked drinks and robberies?

No secret handshake here but this has been going on for years. It is nothing new to most that have been here for several years. I had one girl back in 1999 that put up a photo of here when she was in her early twenties, I found a actual photo of her. Let me say she was missing several teeth and looked about 20 years older.

I really have not heard of any woman picking her man up at the airport and then robbing him. There is a lot easier ways to take the gringos money. It might take them a week but if they want it they will get it.

I remembered few years ago when a UKrainian woman (works as an interpreter) wanted to meet me in Prague, Czech "that" weekend because she went there for business.   I only know her for few hours, yet she expected me to meet her!     I told her that I needed to see her in webcam, but she refused!  She did not want to meet stranger in the 1st day!   How strange!  She wanted to meet me in Prague - would have been about 2 days after knowing her - but refused to look at webcam!

In this case, if you come across the similar situation, it is best to avoid ....

I was just hoping that one takes the bait and the precedent is set via her choice of "cab driver", "cousin", etc

Just want the names our there for people to make note of

A “scam” is generally considered to be an attempt to trick you out of your money.

From what you posted, I don’t see any scam here. Did she ask you for money or in any way attempt to separate you from your money? If not, then I wouldn’t call it a scam.

Maybe just a lady with a multiple personality disorder?

Instead of trashing her all over the Internet as a "scammer", I would simply move on to another lady and forget about it. No harm, no foul, right?

My bad - should have used the word "potential"

I just wanted her on the boards radar in case she got less sloppy and got closer to scamming someone, if that in fact is her game

Just trying to pay back and contribute because the board has been a wealth of info for me

If she wants to meet up that quick, you're right to have your Spidey sense tingling.  Maybe not a scammer in the traditional sense, but definitely something's off.  Maybe scary desperate to find a guy (pregnant? so wants to bang you so can later claim it's your kid?). Could be a prostitute looking for a new client.

Whatever.  Somewhere out there is a desperate loser who will happily jump into her web.  But you don't find too many of them reading or posting here.

Yeah somehow she got my FRIGGIN PHONE NUMBER. and asked me to email her. her email was alejamas-18@hotmail.com
Same deal, sent pics, right off the bat asked for a friendship.. I actually called her and asked how the hell she got my number.. wouldn't tell me. She knew where I worked to. Now she could have googled it or she actually knew someone I worked with. Fact remains. just getting it out there too. be alert from this one FOR SURE.

I dont see any evidence of a scam...certainly might be...but there is nothing except some paranoia exhibited by board members....

Tell her you're broke and ask her if she can spare $100.  Then see if she contacts you again.   :D

I don´t know if she´s scamming but the jamas part of alejamas means never. Don´t know if that´s intentional. The only red flag is if you are asked for money. This has become a cottage industry in Cali, pretty young girls getting on webcam and chatting up gringos they meet on colombian cupid et al. and eventually asking for a little $$ assistence for this or that. My girlfriend does it and so do most of her girlfriends.

Or...

Tell her you have $1,500,000 you wish to transfer out of the country, and if she helps you by using her bank account, you'll give her half.  But first she needs to send you $500 to set up the paperwork from your end.   ;D

I was contacted by a scammer once. I keep writing back to "her" so she would keep putting more effort into it. This went on for months. Eventually I called her "Boris" and  I told her I thought it had been fun wasting so much of her time. I also asked her what sort of person preys on people looking for love? Strangely I didn't get another email after that. I think I may have annoyed her. Ooops!  :'(
