If the fish is not "fresh" enough, it can always be skipped & have a few of these:

If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?

Ha ha, Kfc--those are some bigguns!  We're going out tomorrow night, to a pretty decent Asian buffet.

It has among a lot of other things, decent frog legs, clams, mussels, local shrimp --really, really good Texas oysters (steamed--all you can eat), carved roast beef and all the other usual Asian stuff (cashew chicken, etc) --all the  other stuff that you get at 95% of Asian buffets.

I'm sure I'll eat a 100 + steamed oysters and that yet somehow, my wife will out eat me....

I don't know how they can make money when we walk in--a sack of Apalachicola (Florida) Louisiana longs, or Texas oysters, is pretty dang expensive!

If you're into 'sliders'--cold, raw oysters and can open a raw oyster accordingly, you can make huge money 'shucking' raw oysters at parties--especially in NYC--it's not as easy as it looks--I have some scars to prove it.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

Enjoy yourselves and also enjoy it for those of us who wish that we could be there.

We just finished having dinner & she completely out eat me. We had rice  (she ate 3/4 of it) & chicken with tofu, pineapple and veggies. She pulled out a jar of fish sauce and mixed it with her rice. But before we ate, she had a power size Jamba Juice (that alone would have fill me up).  :o

I've always heard that fresh fish should have no smell. If it smells "fishy" then it's probably bad, as strange as that sounds.

My father-in-law gave me some advice when I first met him. He told me that when you walk into a sushi bar take a deep sniff. If you smell fish, walk out.
