GOOD Internet is a Necessity

I spend a couple of month in the DR in May and June.  I had spotty internet but DAMN I sure have paid a price with administering and overseeing my business affairs ( I am sure the Presidentes added to the problem too:)

It has got me a little snake bit on traveling to unknown areas in South America.   Although I have geographic freedom, I still have to work, and a GOOD interent connection is very important.

When I was in Colombia, I had better internet service than I have in the States. 

Can anyone attest to other locations where the internet is very good?

Internet in Peru is OK, not great, but not that bad either. It will often be a lot slower than what it is supposed to be and will stop working for an hour sometimes, but overall it is decent.

Bad news on Peru.  Choppy internet can cost an internet contractor / business owner BIG TIME. 

I hear internet in Brazil is so so.  Same in Argentina.

That is yet another reason Colombia ranks so high on my list.

What internet provider were you using in Colombia?

I'm interested in upload speeds not download speeds....I can't seem to break the 1MB upload barrier here.

Well, once I got established, I had big tubes.   

But the internet was great even when I was traveling around Colombia
