Decorating hall with florescent paint?
« on: August 02, 2010, 12:07:28 AM »
Hi,

I am going to plane a wedding ceremony in a big hall. Now I would like to consult. I want to start ceremony in night and I want to use florescent paint in background with low light in hall that will create the great and amazing scene. What would you like to say about my idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hey hitmark,

That will only work if you hang a velvet picture of Elvis at the alter.  ;D

Better yet, The King with the King of Rock N' Roll.

Sorry dude...I have been called many things, but a wedding planner or decorator...were never mentioned!  You are not related to "?" (Question Mark & the Mysterians - of 96 Tears fame) by any chance?  ;D

Good Luck,

Dave

If the wedding will be in San Francisco, then go for it...  :D

Hey Dave, You have the one with Elvis and Jesus playing poker with dogs? That's my favorite.

Ask an Interior Designer or a Wedding Planner with Interior design background.

Hey Jeff,

Not yet! You know how rare that is! I might be able to find it in in Tijuana...but then again, I never found the famous donkey show...but they do have donkey zebras.  ;D

The old city hall in Chernobyl offers a free fluorescent service.
There might even be a few zombies around to make it really spooky....  :o

Will they let you paint a rented hall?   :-\
I could see something like that working if the rest of the decorations are minimalist in design, monochromatic and simple textures.  The slightest textured relief or carved wooden icons would completely throw off the effect.  The same with the garments by the wedding party.  A frilly laced or beaded bridal gown or bride's maids gown would create ugly shadows across the fabric surface and work against you.  Make the wedding party look like a bunch of zombies.  Do some experiments with sheets of plywood painted accordingly to see the effect, but I think you will find that dark colors will appear even darker in such a situation.  It may work against your betrothed if she has a darker tanned complexion.  And you will need brighter colored garments for the groom (think light gray) and bride's maids (avoid purples or maroons).

Me too! It is a good thing Bob beat me to it...I was starting to "gay out" myself with all of these tough decorating questions! If hitmark or "Bobbi" ever come back, I have a question about changing the look of my rooms with new seasonal decor..after I rebuild the place. Oh I can't let it go! I can't! There must be some way to get it all back again!...

This morning I was chatting with Ahya before work. A "cousin" was visiting - everyone is either a cousin, ate or kuya  ::)

She said that they have a visitor, a bakla. She then introduce that person to me, and that person was so nicely dress, makeup, hair, everything, that I couldn't at first tell that it was a man. I had to take a real close (a couple actually) to tell the difference. The figure, face, posture, movement & voice was "that of a female". She can easily fool people.
I chatted with "Joyce" for a few minutes - "she" was super nice. I also spent an hour or so viewing her facebook pics & also took a look at her friends. Why is it that gay people (no matter what country they are in) have the most beautiful female friends?
