Ssssshh
« on: April 25, 2009, 05:25:02 PM »
I'm hiding under the bed with my laptop.  Different bed than last time, not much room!  Seems we were getting ready for Honey's favorite event of the year, the company Crawfish Picnic.  She loves the spicy crawfish, corn and potatoes.  Well while she was getting the youngest ready I decided to wash the red wagon and put some things in the van.  While washing the wagon my oldest was bitten by a few ants so I got the ant killer out and started dusting the ant beds.  Yeah I left two kids in the front yard, with the water on, to dust the ant bed I knew about in the back yard.  When they heard Mommie yell they hid under the car because they were scared.  Mean kids would not move over and let me under there too!!!!

I need a place.  Quick.  Just a few feet on the floor for my airbed, my compouter is wireless.  I snore a bit.

Hurry before she finds me.  I hear her looking in the nest room.

Gee Thanx Cbear!!!

When she was bathing the little monsters I moved into the big igloo in the garage and locked it from the inside.   Hurry fellas the laptop on has 2 two hours of battery time and I think there even less air in this igloo.

Dudes last time she found me and pulled my ear so hard the doc said it would always be twice its size.  I have to pin it over with a close pin to get it under my hat.

Hmmmm. Found that deer sausage I lost.  At least I won't starve.

Funny story ;D

My love, Francy, is so excited to come to the US, and to be married, she is watching African American Movies Just to get an idea of living among African Americans.

Of course you can learn nothing about Black America from watching a movie, but I gave her an "a" for effort.

She watched Will Smith in "In Pursuit of Happiness."  It left her in tears.  She is afraid we will live poor and have nothing to eat.  I laugh and laugh at this.  I told her we were in no danger of living poor, and that everything is already in place to secure us for a long while.

I'm glad she did not watch Menace to Society.  However, I told her to watch it anywhy.

She is happy because just this past week I sent the paperwork to Vermont for the K-1 Visa.  Well, we have 6 months to go now and she can watch all the movies she can handle.

Hey Romello,

I suggest Don't Be a Menace , the Friday movies, Malibu's Most Wanted. and anything with Dave Chappelle (married to a Filipina). On second thought....bad idea.  ;D

She always makes fun of me saying I look like Samual L Jackson.  She likes his movies.  We watched one of his movies while I was there.

Right now she is having a fit about flying to the US alone.  She wants me to fly there and fly back with her.

Hey Romello,

She can do it! Sometimes they hear supposedly "true" horror stories, especially from jealous people. The first time I flew my wife on PAL so at least she was very comfortable being around Filipino airline personnel and eating Filipino food on her way to the US. She went through immigration and customs with a few Filipinas she befriended. Then she flew on to Miami. Even her 61 y/o mother came alone to the US. My wife met her in LA, but there was nothing she could do until her mother cleared immigration and customs. Reassure your lady that everything will go fine and that you are just a phone call away. The cost of your trip could be put to much better use elsewhere!

She says you look like "Samual L Jackson"...Hmmmm...I think he would be thrilled to look like you!  ;D

She might do better to watch re-runs of "The Cosby Show".  BC's stand-up routines "Himself" and subjects of fatherhood transcend race and are something we can all relate to.

HA :D thanks guys

She called again this morning and AGAIN she wanted to go here about flying alone.  I told her I would not fly to her, so she got mad and threaten to kick me.  I told her she would have to fly here to do it.

I sent her some money to rent some movies.  I told her to rent Friday the 13th.  Naw....she knew about it so that's out.  I'm going to have fun with this.  She does not watch  lot of movies, but I do.

She has told me she wants a 32" flat screen TV with surround sound for the bedroom.  Yeah, it's cool, I told her it will be her wedding present.  I wanted to get one myself, but I just never bothered.

Well we are 6 months and counting down.

Oh by the way.  To any newbie wanting to know the cost of the K1.  I only paid $455.00 and now the wait begins.

In the bedroom.   Hmmmm?  And you said you have been married before?  And now divorced?  I think I'm beginning to understand.  LOL.  Just kidding.  We have a 32" also.

Honey didn't go to movie either because her family just couldn't afford them.  When we got there she was paranoid of movie theatres.  Said people should stick you with needles?  I don't know how because they were so big and always empty you could see anyone coming for an hour but I had to trust her on that.

One little trick that worked for me was using a TV card in my computer.  In Yahoo I was able to pick the TV card instead of the camera.  I'd put a movie in the VHS and we'd watch it and chat at the same time.  Quality wasn't great and she got a few pauses but it was good enuff she understood the movie.   It doesn't work with my current TV card, I've tried and there's not slot on this computer and no driver for Vista.

romello i think i know how to save you alot of money.
just tell her you thought she said 32 millimeter flat screen
what is that about 13"?  ;D ;D ;D
i think i would wait until she arrives to buy the new TV.
you may find that you are so busy with "other activies" in that room that you have little time for TV.

+1!!!!!!
It's not such a good idea to allow the private sanctuary to become a place of mindless distraction from each other.  Keep the outside world outside.

I've done this before in my last marriage.  My Captain gave me the advice on having the TV in the bedroom.  However, there has to some compromise....and some fun.
