visa ?
« on: February 03, 2009, 03:19:20 AM »
Hey everybody,
I live in the U.S. and want to meet my Columbian woman ,who still lives in Columbia, somewhere like Costa Rica or Cancun but she can't get a visa. Anybody know if there is anything I can do to get her a visa ?  Seems like there would be some kind of exception or deal to grant her a tourist visa to get me to come spend a lot of $ in their Country.

You can try San Andrés, Colombia, it's a tropical island in the Caribbean off of Nicaragua.  It's part of Colombia so she will not need a visa.  I know there are flights out of Miami, not sure where else.  There are always specials (hotels/airfare) from Colombia for Colombians.  Have your girlfriend book her flight and hotel, you meet her there.  It's cheaper than you booking the same package yourself.

Well we ended up going to Panama . She's lived in San Andre's for a few years so she wanted to go somewhere different . Her dad is Panamain so she didin't need a visa.
We stayed at the all inclusive Royal Decamaron resort which I would recomend if you ever go to Panama . The $100 each way 2 hour bumpy-ass road sucked. To go to a beach in Panama you have to get away from the dirty canal.
San Andre's has a Royal Decameron so I bet it would be a good place to stay.
