I missed this post and wish all a Happy Thanksgiving as well.
I was pondering in lieu of being asked at he family dinner, what I was grateful for when I realized I just hadn't been paying attention to how well I had been blessed. I the constant little problems that pop up when you deal with life. Wow, it really was one of my best years. I once thought few things could match the year I married my wife but it seems since then each year with her has gotten better. I sit and think about all the little things I need to deal with and wonder "how?" but then I realize I have those problems because of all the blessings I have. If I didn't have the blessings none of those problems would exist.
Funny, one of my sons lessons the other day when asking him to think about Thanksgiving said "count your blessings not your crosses". I don't think a child could understand that but I think the message wasn't meant for him.
