What is...where is Latin America?
« on: September 21, 2008, 12:02:42 PM »

This week John McCain became confused in front of a reporter and referred to the president of the government of Spain, José Rodríguez Zapatero as a Latin American leader.

Before becoming president George W. Bush told a reporter “I´d like to learn Latin in order to be able to speak with Latin Americans.”

Bush last year: “The border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better”.

“Amigo, amigo” called Bush to the prime minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi at the G-8 summit forgetting that in Italy they don’t speak Spanish.

“I loved visiting Central America. Did you know it consists of several countries?”  Dan Quayle after returning from a visit to the region during his vice-presidency.

“I’m happy to be in Bolivia” Ronald Reagan in a speech he gave during a visit to Bogotá in 1982.
