Hello from new username but an old member here
« on: July 10, 2008, 12:08:09 AM »
Hi everyone,
I was going through my old files in my computer and found this link I'm glad I've kept this Bookmark. Anyway, this is Belle used to be NoNamePinay here but it has been ages since the last time I've been here at P-L & I forgot already my email address and password to log-in with my old account so I created a new account instead. I'm still married to the same husband that I've married for over 14 years ago and our daughter is now going to 12-year old. Life has its ups and downs for the past years ever since my husband got a health problems and became disable but we're doing well now and trying to get back on track. I'm so happy to see that this P-L Forum is still here and familiar usernames still around :).
Best regards,
-Belle aka NoNamePinay

Hi NNP - Great to see you here again. Sorry to hear about your hubby. Wasn't he a trucker? It's been a while. Ever hear from May10 or Carisse?

Hi Jeff,
How are you doin? It's nice to see you're still around and whoa, you got a good memory you still remember :).
Yep! my husband used to be a trucker but he gave it up when we also gave up our trucking business due to a fuel prices we've lost so much money instead of making it and he was tired of being
away from home all the time so He went back to being a machinist there for a while until all this happened  :(.
No, I never heard from May10 nor Carisse ever since they changed/transferred the Mag-anak Forum to a new place I'm also wondering what happened to them. Regards to you & your wife!

Hi Belle,

Welcome back! Congratulations on your successful marriage! I am sorry to hear about your husband's condition! I was disabled from the fire department in 1996. Then further disabled in 2006 with multiple strokes. It hasn't been easy, but with the love and support of a GREAT Filipina wife, my health and life has improved greatly! My daughter (4 years old) has helped me so much to reconnect to this world and  life's simple plesures. Your husband is very fortunate to have you and your daughter in his life also!

Hi Dave H,
"Sorry for my late response!"
Oh my, it just seems like the old times you are all still here posting after like what 6-7? years, I remember those funny jokes posts (I'm glad they keep that jokes' page in here) especially those purple thong & ax of yours "lol", those vulcanized pig & farts those were hilarious! but I've missed out on a lot though :(. I remember some old posters here at P-L Asian Forum like Jeff S., Ray, Jay, Matt, Bear, Stephen, Humabdos, Howard, peabody, Windmill Boy-(rip), Chris & Mary, dingo, tess (Stephen's wife), Honey (Bear's wife), Raquel, carisse, may10, Sally (Humabdos wife), Lori (got a vietnamese husband, & so many more... (sorry I couldn't remember all).
By the way, Thanks for the welcome and congrats on our marriage! Yep, we're still together and going strong :) of course we have had share of problems but never have gone to the point of considering a divorce or something like that so we're stuck with each other now :P hopefully it will be forever. Oh yeah, that's what also my husband always say that he's thankful
for having me and our daughter with him as what could have happened without us here with him because He was really in a bad shape for more than a year (plus in a coma for 7 days). Thank God he's slowly getting back his strength now. Oh my, you're lucky to have survived from the multiple strokes sometimes Life can be unpredictable we don't really know what will happen.
Wow, I didn't know that you already have a 4-year old daughter see how long I haven't visited this forum :) belated, Congratulations to you & your wife!!! give my Regards to your wife & hugs to your 'lil girl.
Thanks again!

Somebody may correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that Lori's husband, unfortunately, turned out to be a low life user and left her before the ink was even dry on his visa and she hasn't posted here since that happened (at least not that I'm aware of)....shame too, she was a nice person.

Hi Belle,

You sure have a good memory!!! I still have my purple thong and gold ax.  ;D I guess I have been posting here 8+ years. Our daughter will be 5 in 2 months...how time flies! This July 27th is my 2 year stroke-free  anniversary.

WOW, your husband was in a coma for a week. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to him? I am glad to hear he is doing better.

You have a good memory Belle!

Just for you, here's a repeat of the vulcanized pig story. Note that this was back when jeepney fares were 10 centavos and I definitely got my 10 centavos worth on that trip...  ;D

*****
The Farting Pig

It was back in 1969 in Olongapo City, Philippines. I got into a crowded jeepney in front of the public market and then a Filipino guy got in with a rather fat, young pig that he was holding in his lap. The pig was kicking and squealing wildly as the jeepney started down the road. Every time the jeepney hit a pot hole, the damn pig farted. These were some very loud farts and soon everyone in the jeepney was laughing their ass off.

By the time the man with the pig reached his destination, the pig was quite a bit smaller than it was when he started out. The man did not look the least bit amused. In fact, he was downright pissed. One of the passengers then explained to me that it was a common trick used in the Philippines. Before you take the pig to the market to sell it, you stop by the gas station and “vulcanize” it with an air hose up the butt to make it look a lot fatter than it normally would be. I guess this was when they used to sell them by size instead of by the kilo.

I couldn’t help picturing that poor guy coming home with that pig and his wife is yelling at him: “I thought I told you to get a nice fat one…”

Hey Ray,

ROFLMAOCUMLTNTLMVPF!!! That is my favorite farting (and Philippines) story! That guy was just lucky that his pig didn't fly away. I'm going to check if they know how to vulcanize our pigs!  ???

Michael,

If I remember Lori's situation she married a Vietnamese guy who left her to learn "the trade" as she put it of cutting hair.  And pretty much just used her to get the visa and left her once here.  She came back and chatted once a year of so afterwards but that was it.  Everytime I get my hair cut I still look to see if one might look like him?  She really was a nice girl who got used.

I used to chat with her a lot on the old Dalnet on I think the old "cebucity" channel with a bunch of other Americans!?  Why they were all there I'll probably never know.  One of the guys was an Army Captain and my son met him in Oklahoma while in basic training.

I remember Clarisse and May10 starting their own Yahoo Group and I was a member for a while, but that computer crashed and I lost the name.  Someone here was still in contact with May10 and sent me her email once and we exchanged a few emails but I lost that too.  Last I heard she married a guy in Denver and seemed quite happy.

Bear,

Actually, Lori's Vietnamese "husband" wasn't learning the hair business. It was nails.

The last I can remember, she terminated the marriage and was dating a nice slightly older American gentleman who lived in her neighborhood(?)

May10 is doing fine in Colorado with her husband. I exchanged e-mails with Mae a couple of months ago and she said to say hello to the gang at P-L.

Yes, it was nails. Thai was certainly a rotten BASS TURD (Thanks for that word Hum)! As I recall his first major scam was claiming that he "lost" a whole lot of "Dông" (several thousand dollars) while working as a truck driver. He needed  money from Lori to repay his boss and stay out of jail. Lori worked so hard, scraficing to bring him here....what a shame!!! I hope that  BASS TURD was deported and that  Lori and her daughters are having a great life!

Ever wonder how the Vietnamese got started in the nail salon business in America? It was all actress Tippi Hedren's fault.

Ever wonder why a football is referred to as a "pigskin"? Apparently, the early footballs were made from pig bladders. The problem with inflatable pig bladders was trying to find someone willing to stick that natural "inflation tube" in their mouth and blow on it...
