Hi guys,

i might have to go to Bogota this year, to renew my passport, and since the swedish embassy is in bogota, thats where i have to go.

Now, to have fun in bogota for 2 nights, eat good, but not dom perignon, how much money should i bring, in US dollars?

Also, does anyone know a deasent hotel, close to this adress.

It's only about five blocks from where we live in Los Rosales.  There is a Transmilenio stop ( Avenida de Chile) right there very close to the embassy.

These three are close to the Zona Roja and Parque de la 93 were there is lots of action and handy to the embassy.Hotel.   Saint Simon,Carrera 14 No. 81-34, Hotel Suites Parque 97,Calle 97 No. 19-15 and the Morrison Hotel,Calle 84 No.13-54 Say $50/70 USD.  There are cheaper but I do not know your budget or life style.  Lots of restaurants, discos all price range in this area and it is relatively safe.

Normal Big City precautions.  If you get to the point where you couldn't pull a needle out of you ass with a John Deer tractor you a probably in the wrong place.
