Back to Medellin
« on: April 16, 2007, 07:45:08 PM »
I'm heading back to Medellin this weekend to spend another ten days with my novia. Since she will be working during the day, is anyone going to be in Medellin over the next two weeks? If so, perhaps we can hook up during the day, first cerveza is on me!

enjoy the land of eternal spring. Cali still remains a favorite for me but I can see where it really makes sense to expand the search beyond the many problematic calenas. Still, I was thinking about the guys asking about Argentina and so forth and have come to the conclusion that Colombia is the place to go...at least in latin america. An endless supply of beautiful women and the best attitudes in my humble opinion. Still, I continue to meet gringos living in colombia and struggling with women. quien sabes?

Hi Papi,

I arrived in Medellin last night, flight was on time this time! When I was going through Custom's, they saw that I was just in Medellin six weeks or so ago and they asked me why I was visiting colombia so often, so I showed him a photo of my novia that I had with me and he just smiled and told me to enjoy my trip!  The weather here is cloudy and cool, but I love it, a nice change from Southern California.

I can't speak for the Girls from Cali, but I can tell you that my novia is fantastic. She has to work today, but she woke up early to cook me some food for lunch and has called to make sure I am alright!!!  Her caring and sweetness is amazing.  I never have felt this loved and cared for in my life, I have indeed lucked out with her!!

congratulations on your engagement and I hope all goes well for you. I'm looking forward to hearing about the visa process from you and hope all goes smoothly.

Anyway, have a great time with your futura esposa!!

Hey,

good luck in MDE.  I just got back from seeing my own paisa, and she did her best to make me happy as well.  MDE is my favorite place in Colombia.  It is great to see others have discovered Medellin!  Good luck to you.

Thanks Vegas! Enjoy Mde. If you go to Las Palmitas - avoid it on the weekends - it gets packed. I love Mde too but no tres  cruses. The paisas are the most beautiful in all of colombia and the city is splendid. hasta pronto

Thanks el ruso and Papi!!! I truly enjoy Medellin, the people are incredible here. The woman are something to see, I spend part of my time sitting on the balcony of my girlfriends apartment watching the women walk by on the street.  My novia is taking incredible care of me, every day before she leaves for work, she is cooking me food so I don't starve... jajajaja.  I wonder how I have survived without here in the states??

Anyway, for anyone considering a trip to Colombia, I can recommend Medellin as a place to visit, hopefully on my next trip in June, I'll be going to a couple of other cities as well with my novia.

I'll post a trip report when I return at the end of the month.

I have to be in Washington DC for Memorial day weekend, but hoping to return to Medellin in June.  Panama sounds interesting, so have a great time there.  Have you been to Aruba?  If so, what did you think of it? I have heard many good things about it, so am considering it for a trip for my novia and me.
