 I gotta say I've had a lot of awful American girlfrends,but few good ones too. They're not all bad. I was very impressed with a recent GQ article where Brett Ratnert(37 year old director of X-men and other films) was talking about a girl he was with for over 10 years when he had no money and she was modeling and earning a lot.

Ratner was dating actress Rebecca Gayheart. She was already a working teen model and Ratner says,helped support him financially for years before he made it as a video director. "She said, 'Don't worry, I believe in you. I'll take care of whatever you need." She was like my wife..
