Anyone ever use South of the Border Introductions?
« on: March 25, 2007, 06:35:42 PM »
Interesting website.  Profiles could be a bit more filled out, but I've seen much worse.  At least you get most women's first AND LAST names, and whether or not they have a Visa, both of which are nice.

Search engine sucks though, and some of the older profiles (a woman born in 1969 is not 35 years old, people) aren't kept up-to-date or deleted.

I welcome your thoughts.

Red Bull may give you wings, but if Flakes could fly - BAQ is in fact an airport

Sure. I bought some addresses from them back in 1999. They really send you real addresses of real women, some of whom will really write back to you. (I mean that to sound positive, as in YES they write back, not negative as in only a few write back). In fact, if you saw my post on another thread about the woman whom I helped to settel her affairs after gringo husband died, that's where I met her. As for the age thing, I think he posts their age at the time they enrolled and never updates it (actually, it would be a very simple program to write in java script or the like to take the DOB and current date and calculate current age on the fly before displaying it-the same thing you did in your head while looking at the screen). Now, if you want to meet some ladies for email correspondence, try this: www.caliescali.com off the main screen, click desparchado. Off of that drop down box, click busca amigos....that's where I actually met my wife......wait, I think before you can use that feature, you have to open an email account with them, but not to worry, it's easy and free...click registraste and fill out the form.

I used South of the Border for personal introductions. I'm not sure if Dave offers that service any more or is strictly into selling addresses.

When I talked to him a couple of months ago he was mostly setting guys up in apartments for long term stays.

It wouldn't hurt to give him a call and get information first hand.

Personally I wouldn't waste a lot of time on an indepth examination of websites. Just take a look at the pictures if you see something that you like call them up and see if it's still available, book a flight and take a shot at it.

I suggest you negociate a per cita price before hand and not pay untill the woman arrives.

Michael, I am having success on latin cupid but would like to learn more about the cali site. i have looked at it before but never tried to meet a woman from there. It is just so time consuming but sounds like it might be worthwhile. i did not meet many from cali on latin - the chicas are scattered all over the place.

Well, you've been studying your Spanish, you probably know enough to plink your way through the enrollment form. Then you just follow that other link I mentioned and there is a little "I am a ___ looking for a ______ between __ and __ years old for a _________ type of relationship" form to fill out (you have to fill that out every time, the enrollment only once). Then you poke through the profiles that pulls up and you can send them an email right then and there. Nothing to it.....and as an added bonus (or detriment, depending on which side of the coin you look at) it is meant to be used by locals, so most of the ladies aren't expecting a foreigner to contact them and will be pleasantly surprised (or not).
