reading papi's post about the digital camera reminds me of the many times my wifes family and extended family have asked me to get items for them before flying down. mis suegros haven't asked for anything, mi cuñado has asked me for computer items and cell phones, which he has always paid for when i arrived. however, primos and primas are subject to paying up front before i buy anything. a cousin asked me to buy a pair of nikes, he gave my wife the money before i bought them. another asked for a digital camera, which she paid for before i bought it. some have asked for other items but decided to cancel once i told them the price. bottom line is that unless it's my wifes parents or siblings, anyone else has to pay up front before getting the goods. some will say that they'll pay you once you get there, be careful, don't do this unless you are sure about it. cousins especially try to be cute and ask for things that they have no way of paying for. one of my wifes cousin wanted a Playstation 2 and said that his mother would pay for it, i asked her and when i told her how much..she said forget it.
