Receiving Visa?

How long did some of you other member's fiance receive her visa after the interview? I have an interview on January 9 and I have all the required documents ready that the US Embassy (Honduras) requests. I know what the Embassy says about not quitting your job and etc,etc.

If you are going to be there for the interview and you wish to travel home with her, then it wouldn’t hurt to ask the interviewing officer if the visa could be expedited. It doesn’t cost anything to ask. 

Keep in mind that there are all kinds of reasons why the visa approval could be delayed. That’s why they always advise to not make any firm travel plans until the visa is in hand.

 It was pre 9/11 when I went to the U.S embassy in Bogota for the fiancee interview. But my ex-wife recieved her fiancee visa the same day as the interview.
