No exit tax...Why?

I did not get charged the 50 dollar exit tax when I left Colombia.  Does anyone know why I would not be charged.   I was in Colombia a couple months ago as well and did get charged on that trip.

My exit tax from Cali was $17 US I think.. with the exemption you get from upstairs at the airport.  You're catching on FatherTime, you have to give us ALL lessons!

From what I recall it has to do with the length of time spent in Colombia, though its near impossible to get a staight answer as to what the timeframe is. Most of the time they will accept the tax even if your there less then the number of days you should be taxed on.
