How do guys meet girls in the US?

How are you all? I'm on vacations in California and I didn't do like the P-L bible says and lined up a lot of people.

I was just wondering, since I'm here... Is that possible to meet serious decent guys while on vacations? If so, how?

As a guy from the U.S. (California actually), I've met &  dated girls all kinds of ways: friends, bars, the gym, coffee places or restaurants, etc. 
 
So nothing wrong with just meeting guys in public, especially if you are with a female companion.  Just exercise normal caution and good judgement.   
 
Depedning on how long your vacation is you could sign up for Plenty of Fish, a free online dating site popular in the U.S. (and California). I hate online dating but a woman I used to date told me she got like 25 e-mails a day from guys when she signed up.  Yes, some of the guys were creepy but plenty were serious, decent guys.

Church can be pretty good--our church asks any visitors to stand, they're typically welcomed warmly and we mingle afterwards. Libraries are a surprisingly good place--especially in the magazine--periodical section. I used to meet a lot of girls at wet T shirt contests too---I'd just suggest you try two out the three above methods!

There are some bars/clubs in my city that have Salsa nights and Latin nights.  If you like dancing, you might try that out.  One of the places here has a salsa night with an hour of free lessons before the band starts.  There were always some single guys and women, and the physicality can be a good way to see if there is any chemistry.

I am not from the USA but very attractive latin girls here have told me that they were surprised by the men here initally. They said men here look more masculine. Whereas men in Latin America were much more agressive with their advances. After a little while they realised that men here were more relaxed and genuine and they liked it. However initally they were a little confused why they appeared to get less overt attention.

I think us guys here basically look at any opportunity to meet women.  If you're in the grocery store and a beautiful woman catches your eye, you might try to get her attention somehow.  I get coffee at Starbucks sometimes, and a girl that works there was so pretty so I tried to meet her.  We of course talk to any beautiful woman we can when out at bars, clubs, concerts, etc.  Plentyoffish.com has become popular and as a woman you'll have tons of options!  There are plenty of fake people and creepy guys there though, so just be wary.  I think we also tend to meet women through friends or family, but really to answer your question we meet women any way possible!

If you are a Brazilian woman I can just say that most American men will absolutely love you.  Well, I personally would be very interested...both because you're exotic and different, but frankly I think that we also like the culture of S. American women very much.  Well, not all men but many do anyways.

I don't think you'll have much trouble at all!  Just go out and work it, flutter those eye lashes, flip your hair, smile, be sweet and inviting, and I bet you'll be asking us, "How do I get these American guys to leave me alone?? They won't stop approaching me!"

Oh - the beaches are a great place to meet men too...for obvious reasons.

P.S. - Sorry, if you intend to meet serious guys you just have to do a good job to size up the man's intentions and spend some time getting to know him and talking.  Maybe have some tests to figure out if he just wants to have sex or if he is interested in meeting a serious and beautiful woman from Brazil.  Most guys really aren't as bad as we're cracked up to be and I personally appreciate when a woman is serious because I'm old enough that pointless sex is really not that special.  Just use your female intuition and judgement.
