Some light humour - keep your eyes on the prize!
« on: December 10, 2011, 08:25:08 AM »
2011 has certainly been a testing time here on P-L.

With constant talk of prepagos, walking ATMs, party girls, non-reading/writing societies, VISA sharks, drama queens, lost cellphones, death threats, robbery, sick relatives (and that's just the latin side of P-L!) it can sometimes get too much and can make even the most determined of us doubt his committment to finding a wife abroad (Lord help me I know!)

But when such doubts creep into your mind, I call upon you to check out these two little gems: I hope they will help you refocus your minds as to why you came here in the first place!

...feeling better now? Thought so :D

Happy hunting to all in 2012!

And her family thinks she's the intellectual one, because she can use sarcasm and parody?  :o

CTM I thank you. That was more than 'putting it into focus'.

The 'White Girls at the Club' one was very surprising to me.  Last year I saw a few episodes of a British reality show called "What the *!&# Did I Do Last Night?"  A camera crew would follow someone to a club and the host would discuss the video footage with the person the next day.  Many of the White women who were followed behaved EXACTLY as described in the White Girls video.

They got stupid drunk.  They screamed at everything and everyone.  They flirted with all kinds of guys.  One was almost sexually assaulted on the dance floor of the club by a complete stranger.  They flashed their boobs and other body parts.  They threw up everywhere.  Two got thrown out of clubs. They walked around in the street carrying their shoes.  One was 'planking' wherever she could and called every guy who disapproved of her a 'stupid wanker'.

I had NO IDEA White girls did that in the States too!  LOL!

I used to have a dog like the gray and white one, Italian greyhound, he even had the same markings. Had him 13 years before he passed away and he only barked twice the whole time I had him.

Honestly, i never dated any idiots or bimbos up here. The women I've spent the most time dating have been successful professional types. There are a whole different set of problems with them, unfortunately. I don't like being second to their career and I see too many career/relationship conflicts going forward for the relationship to be successful. Basically, when kids are in the picture, who is going to sacrifice their career or else when will we see each other? I remember dating lawyer and we would go weeks between dates because i'd be busy or she'd be busy. It was horrible.

if it were finacially feasible i'd be happy to have all my time free to be with my kids and take care of the household, and perhaps socialize with friends, Who the hell needs work, if it isn't necessary? ...for a lot of women they act like that is a bad deal and a part of it is that they want to be 'successful' or at least appear to be successful...recently i had a discussion with one of these types that was disliking her job/life...in the end it fell upon deaf ears....she still lives to work and is ultimately childless and unfulfilled which is mostly her own fault.

Ya. I'd much rather spend my time reading and studying and teach my kids how to think (few schools actually do that well). So many books on my list i haven't had time for. But i'd never do it if i was being supported by a woman. She'd hold that [snip] over you like nothing else. ;p

I guess if i was financially stable i would also eschew any need for my other half to work. Nevertheless, i would be very concerned indeed if she didn't find anything useful or creative (charity work, vocational education, writing, arts & crafts etc.) to do with her time. I agree that a career obsessed woman is not an ideal partner, Chameleon's lawyer example being case in point, but i'd still far rather date such a woman than one whose crowning achievement is a hair and beauty diploma and who knows every soap back to front - that really is room 101 for me!

Regarding the vids, they (and others on the same youtube channel) stand as a terrible indictment of what has happened to a large section of Western womanhood. I can't comment on girls in the US directly, but i can confirm that 100,000s of British women behave in the manner described by Brazilophile every weekend. I was discussing this point with some friends recently whilst walking home through an affluent London suburb (Kingston) on a Friday night. This is a neighbourhood where house prices start at the equiv of $1M, and which has plenty of world class heritage (Hampton Court Palace) a University, good schools  and expensive shops. Nevertheless, the sights on the streets outside the bars and clubs after 11pm were appalling. But when we tried to analyse this, we reached some even more disturbing conclusions. There are no large "trailer parks" or "estates/projects" for miles around - sure, there are plenty of less affluent areas in South London but they seem to be blighted in the same ways at weekends. Is therefore became obvious that it wasn't a case of an affluent area drawing in pond-life from miles around to enjoy the nighlife there - it was sure evidence that the English upper-middle classes are allowing their daughters to behave like pond-life every weekend, just as much as the less affluent classes are!

One point should be remembered though - this is a problem largely confined to the English speaking world. Such sights are rare to behold in continental Europe, or even in Eastern Europe (with its own alcohol abuse problems) despite the fact that within many of these countries the alcohol consumption laws are more relaxed than here in the UK and drink is cheaper to buy. Also, the blame cannot be laid at the door of feminism - many European countries have higher indices of gender equality (ie. greater pay parity, greater political representation for women etc.) than the UK has. Moreover, throughout the whole of Europe there are lower recorded cases of teen pregancies and STDs than here. It really does seem like it's the Anglophonic countries are the worst of all for allowing their women to turn into dogs.
