I do have a question. after reading many posts here .. it seems some men say in their posts "I met some girl at some agency in BAQ". and another says "oh yea I know her and her and that girl and we talk alot or whatever". Does this mean many men know many of the ladies in BAQ? is it a small city generally as far as meeting women?

I'll address this question because I've done this on numerous occasions on the board. As far as the women that are interested in dating gringos in Barranquilla, the answer to your question is absolutely
YES! Barranquilla is a small city in that respect. After visiting many times, I've found that a lot of girls that are members of foreign dating agencies know each other. Word of mouth is the best (and sometimes the only) advertisement in Colombia so when a girl finds a gringo, falls in love and he takes good care of her, you can be sure all of her sisters, friends, and cousins will be beating the agency's doors down trying to join.
I have personally gone to Barranquilla about 12 times in the last three years. These trips were primarily to visit my ex-girlfriend which I met through Jamie's agency. Almost every time I was there I stayed at Jamies beach house in Salgar or one of the bedrooms in the house where he offices. There were almost always one or two more gringos there visiting their girlfriends or going through the introduction process for the first time. So I met quite a few girls from the agency while they were dating other gringos...even if it didn't work out in the long run.
Also keep in mind that although an agency like Jamie's has hundreds of girls available, there are only about 50-75 women that I'd describe as very attractive. Most men that go express interest in the same group of girls. So during the meetings and hanging around the agency, etc., a lot of those girls get to know each other and become friends. When one starts dating or marries a gringo, he'll usually get to know his girlfriend's associates from the agency.
