It's bad here in my city ... I would say at least 50% or more of people under 30 have a tattoo.  And I'm seeing lot's of people with multiple tattoos and "sleeves".

Generally, the lower down you are on the educational and economic charts, the more you need to "express your individuality" ... just like all your friends.  Whatever money isn't spent on cigarettes seems to go into a lovely new piece of body art.

I find tattoos especially odious on a woman, something about them seems so phony in most cases.  The extent of tattooing here in SoCAL is off the charts..   Everybody has a stupid butterfly on their body somewhere.  .I didn't know it had spread up to Canada too.

Fathertime!
Blame the global entertainment industry. The Philippines today is looking like SoCal of 15 years ago. The men and out of the closet lesbians are getting more elaborate and noticeable tattoes while young women are getting the small easily hidden one. Today it seems as if monthly another celebrity is telling the gossip media about her tattoo or TV as oppose to higher budgeted movie producers just don't bother to pay for covering them up. I think in a few years it will be just like America where everyone's grandmother has a tattoo and the women are getting full sleeves and ink where it can't be hidden.

I kind of like tatoos. They're a bit like "I'm With Stupid" tee shirts. It allows you to spot morons from a distance so you don't even have to talk to them to figure out who you don't want to associate with.

When do tatoos seem genuine to you and not phony?
.
Anyway you indicate in your signature that your current wife is morena. Does she sport natural hair or does she have the "weave"?

Hmm, I prefer men without tattoos but it's not a deal breaker to me unless they are ink addicts, if they are tattooed I do get pretty picky tough... they should be able to hide them, no more than 2 and I want to hear why they got them done... no ex's names, no ugly designs (if your going to be stuck with a doodle in your skin it might as well be nice), no religious stuff, no feminine stuff.

Of course this is what crosses my mind and not something I actually say, but just in case you guys were curious about a women's point of view on this, I think a tattoo can speak volumes of your personality.

And since now we are talking about hair and ink... makes me think of hair dye... It might be a personal preference of mine, but I actually like some grey hair, so if you guys have some let it be, it looks weird to have a jet-black headful of hair after certain age or bright yellow for the blonde ones, natural colors are really hard to achieve, if you feel you have too much grey it's fine to cover some but leave a little so it looks natural, when in doubt go to a salon and request this, they know what to do.

I've heard the term 'Negrys' used as a term of endearment quite a lot.

With hair: long, straight and smooth hair is the top spot. An indicator of genetic, fertile health, a clear signal of how we rate their attractiveness and that it can distract you from other detractors. There is an evolutionary theory on the older a woman gets (less reproductive fitness), the shorter her hair becomes to hide the signals manifested in the hair.

I have one coat of arms tattoo. Covered 99% of the time. The meaning is more important, even the process which seems to be far from mind in the west.  I find the modern western reasons driving the desire for getting a tattoo to be classless and superficial.

I_V, men do not go to 'salons' at least the 'old school' variety do not. We go to barbers. It's a generational thing. jajaja

What is a weave, when other hair is threaded into the natural hair?  Assuming that is what it is, then there is no weave...her hair is all hers.

The tattoos I run across are just phony bs that young people do to act gangsta and like tuff guys, it is a front!  A genuine tattoo to me would be something like when a brother/mother loved one dies and their name is inscribed, or the type that Rocaro mentioned.   My viewpoint is a way more lenient on those types of tattoos.

It's her hair whether she/you paid for it, and as long as it looks good , it's no ones business FT. Hey, at least it isn't gray or short. That would probably send you into a tail spin.

Ja! that is true, if it were gray AND short I'd be a little disconcerted.  I like long thick hair on a woman so I picked the right lady in that respect, her hair is pretty much perfect as far as I'm concerned....makes up for what I don't have on my head anymore!
