The show is called Eat Bulaga! and it is shown on GMATV - here on the east coast from 6:10pm to 8:15pm weekdays.

why is it that those hack dentists love yanking teeth in the PI
one thing that i never knew was that my own wife has a 4 tooth partial like the guy in the video. so once she arrives i get to hand over about $12,000 for 4 new implanted teeth, I'm really looking forward to that  ::) ::) ::)

pig,

They aren’t hacks. Actually Filipino dentists are mostly very well trained and quite competent. My last Filipina dentist here went to dental school in Manila and was very good. Both of her parents were dentists also in Makati.

They pull teeth because it’s the patient’s choice.

Many Filipinos won’t go to the dentist unless they have a bad toothache. Then they are offered the option to fix the tooth but it can get costly to do it right and might even need a root canal and crown, which costs big bucks, and fees typically need to be payed up front. So they often opt to have it yanked out which is relatively cheap in comparison.  Solves the immediate problem with the least expenditure of pesos.

Tip of the day: A partial costs a LOT less over there than it does here, including emergency repairs, so make sure she gets another one made for backup while she is there.

And because dental work over there is so much cheaper than here, be sure to have her get a full exam and any dental work done before she comes over. It will save you a bunch even if you have a good dental insurance plan.

I would forget about implants at that kind of cost…

Note: The Filipino children in public schools get free regular dental exams by visiting dentists, but the family often doesn't follow up with recommended dental care because of a lack of insurance and financial resources. Purchasing the next sack of rice outweighs getting junior's teeth fixed.

"Eat Bulaga" at noon and "Wil Time Bigtime" at 6:45 PM...what would life in the Philippines be without them!  :o A poor farmer on "Wil Time Bigtime" just won a house and lot from Camella Homes, Php 1,000,000, and a new car! He didn't even have electricity in his house, let alone own a TV. He came home from work early and saw the audition information and requirements on a neighbor's TV, while passing by their house.
