Apart from being poor, blind and disabled:

"Other rules you must meet:

To get SSI, you must live in the U.S. or the Northern Mariana Islands and be a U.S. citizen or national."

So what are the chicas like on Guam? And can we add Guam to the Colombia/Philipines debate.

Wow, where the heck did you get this information? There are at least a million of us living outside the US all over the rest of the world collecting our SS......if I can get a reward for turning me in I'll share it with you ;D

For you guys out there that don’t know the difference between SSI and SS retirement benefits, read here for more info:

And back to the comparison...

I have no idea what sort of lifestyles are available to a married American living  in the Philippines but lets take a look at life in Colombia. A retired gringo with a pension of say forty to fifty k is earning the equivalent of $80´000.000 to $100¨000.000 pesos. Most caleños who earn that kind of money will have a strata five or six house or apartment in Cali with an empleada (maid), have a nice campero like Kia or Toyota, and have a finca (country place) for weekends with a mayordomo (caretaker) who lives on the place.  This is “normal” for the vast majority of 80 to 100k earners in Cali.  As I said at the start the Philippines is a completely unknown entity to me so would you Philophiles here please  describe a comparable life style in that country.
