Will Colombian Marriage Agencies Survive the Recession?

I think that some Colombian marriage agencies could be in trouble right now and I started this thread to see what other posters here on P-L thought about this topic.  I believe that Colombian agencies are experiencing a "perfect storm" of events, and although the recession is one of the things they have to contend with, it certainly isnt the only thing.  Here are the other events or developments

1. The growth of online sites (LAC, Hi5, Badoo, either paid or unpaid).  It seems like more guys are turning to the internet to find women for dating/ marriage.

2. The fall of the dollar with respect to the Colombian peso.

3.  The rising costs of international airfare

No doubt about it. Back in the halcyon years around 2000 there were at one point four big agencies within walking distance in Ciudad Jardin alone. Now I think there are only two in Cali and of those only one, allcolombiangirls is functioning at full capacity.

Despite all the negatives, the few agencies that remain standing will be the ones that get all the business funneled to them. 

For a large segment of men, having a reputable place to go where the dates are lined up for him is something that will always have some demand. That being said, I am always amazed that more men haven't used this international option. It would appear they would rather dream about beautiful women rather than actually being with them.
