nursing job

Hello to all,hope everyone is doing well. I have a question for anyone who married a women from the Philippines with a nursing degree. Can my wife just pass the nursing boards and then is a recognized nurse? Or does she have to go back to school? I asked some doctors/nurses around here but they did not know. BTW I got married on May 25. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your wedding. Best wishes. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure the medical licensing board of your state does and I'll bet you can find them on the internet fairly easily.

Congratulations on your marriage.  I hope all is going well.  Please make certain that your Wife understands that in "most" areas of the U.S. Nursing hiring is at a standstill.

A good friend who was graduated with a BSN from a private College in 2009 still has not found any Nursing work whatsoever in the 3rd largest city in the U.S.  38 people were graduated in Spring of 2009, and thus far only TWO have Nursing positions.

Since then of course, the school graduated classes in January 2010 and June 2010 so the market is starting to get flooded.

To return to your original question, I suggest you contact / look for the website of your local state's Nursing Board.  I'm confident you should be able to make additional progress.

Well 1st congratulations on the wedding , I myself married a pinay nurse on June  5th. I would say check out a post that i made on VisaJourney first it may answer some of your questions http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/262350-has-anyone-here-married-a-nurse-from-the-philippines/
I live up in New Hampshire & we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. So once my wife gets here on her CR-1 visa i don't really see much of a problem with her getting a job. I think your wife will probably have to pass the NCLEX but it really depends on your state.

Congratulations!

It takes a lot of patience.

First, she must study and pass the  Philippine (NLE) Nursing Licensure (Board) Examination.

Check with your state nursing board for THEIR  licensure  requirements.

Many states require a CGFNS Credentials Evaluation Service Full Education Course-By-Course Report.

Some states also require CGFNS Exam and Certification Program.

After approval, she will review and take the NCLEX  Exam.
