I dont leave the house in the morning and wonder is she will be flirting with guys at school or "making friends" like that - I dont have to worry
The same for me and agree with you 110%   If someone is that insecure, they should not be marrying an attractive woman in the first place.

No kids. If you have children I can tell you that you better look long and hard for the right women. Single Father No More seemed to find a true angel who is willing to work her A** off. Thats not easy.

Long term you are better of with a QUALITY PERSON with CORE VALUES (I leaned this in my first marriage)

Guys,

I have not been on here for quite a while. Great thread Jimmy.. My wife Roxi and I can personally attest what a great wife Jimmy has. Her Family is wonderful also. The saying goes the apple does not fall far from the tree. Jimmy´s Mother in law is a great woman and her and Roxi talked for at least 5 hours over 2-3 days. Jimmy you have a great mother in law and wife that adores you and loves you very much.

Jimmy found and got a real quality woman who is very beautiful to boot. You are a lucky man Jimmy. As Jimmy says my wife is great with our kids and she has worked very hard to help our kids with the transition to Peru and all our relationshipd together.

Te amo Chiclayo and Roxi,

Single Father No More

Thanks for the info, Jimmy. Small world, huh? I've only seen Pisco from the Pan American Highway on that 4 hour bus trip to Ica from Lima. I've done it 8 times in 2 years, so I know the stops by heart.  ;)
I love Paracas and I'll have to check out the new Hilton next time I'm there.

Well, I had a change of heart about doing a K-1. After I slept on it, I've come to the conclusion that marriage in Peru would be best.
The paper work (and the Peruvian red tape that I'm sure comes with it) seems daunting but the K-1 is turning into an endless money pit. Another increase in fees this year seems imminent.

Jimmy, Chris F & others, congratulations.  Jimmy, how old were you and your wife when you met?  If she was 19 or 20 when she came here, she must have been 18 or 19 when you met.  I have to say you beat the odds because I think most guys who marry women that young fail.  Were you truly confident that she would be a good wife at that young of an age?

She was 18 when we first met

well you always have the unknown with a young person growing into someone other than the person you met

but keep in mind that I didnt do a one trip meet and marry

I made at least 3 trips before I asked her to marry me and one trip was for a month - I always stayed at her parents house so I got to know everyone pretty well

she can still drive me crazy with "silly stuff" but its not as bad as it once was
I am sure I can drive her crazy with my old grumpy man ways - so its a trade off ;)
