airfare

Is there a better time of year that you could normally find deals on airfare to Cebu? So far I have found $955 out of Kansas to Cebu and usually $1200 to $1500 is common.
I know X mas seems to be higher.
I'm looking at late March, April or Early May.

The airfares are typically highest in December to early January & June-August. Mid January thru Early March and October-November usually has lower fares.

Christmas and Holy Week are rough times to travel in country.

Keep in mind also that the time you are planning (Mar-May) is the hottest time of the year over there.

I was fare camparison by month from NYC to Manila.
The fares in December were $300-$600 higher than when I plan to travel in Late January.
Two week ago I was about to book on China Air - I check the fare in the morning in was in the mid $700 & when I came to book that same night the fare went up almost by $200.
Since there is now not much of a difference in price between China Air & Cathay - I am going with Cathay
If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?

I know this sounds weird, but you might want to call and try and book airfare late at night--actually in the AM, past 1:00 AM. I don't know why, because it doesn't make sense, but sometimes the airlines give lower quotes at those hours. That's after 1:00 east coast (atlantic) time. Good luck.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

I think that is because the airlines offer special pricing/limited seating and the new deals start a 12 01 am
