As for your situation Piglet, Honey believes that your gf's parents sent their daughters to college to provide MORE than what they currently were getting and she thinks that all three children should expect to send $2-300/mo because their parents sacrificed to get them through college and expect a return on that sacrifice (read investment).  Honey thinks this is proper but she also thinks that your wife and her family MUST understand YOUR family comes first or do not marry her.  Honey's situation was different because she went to college on a scholarship and worked her way through college where your gf was aided.

My girl Marily did chat about this with me & she stated that she didn't think that her parents would require any money from her until they were old & unable to work then $100 a month per child would probably be just fine.
actually i was the one who brough out the $100 per month # not her.
so it mite not even be that high, I'm not sure.
don't get me wrong if she wants to send them 100 bucks from time to time i don't really care as long as we can spare it
She will be working as a registered nurse so money should not be a big problem
now if she decided to take a couple of years off to care for our child & i was the only one working then the parents should not exspect too much

i did find out today that her sister is not married to a Kano
but her sisters Husban does live in in Mississippi
her sister intends to move there too once she passes her bar exam.

I sent Marily a box with a few goodies that weighed 5 lbs through the post office & it only cost me $44. it arrived in about 2 weeks
she loves her pink new hampshire t-shirt & her friends are green with envy
i sent her the smallest shirt i could find & still it is too big even after she
washed it 2 times. she weighs 103 lbs with a brick in each hand, oh well at least there will be plenty of room in bed for me to stretch out
i have a queen seized bed & i like to sleep diagonally
she can pick what ever side of me that she likes the best & snuggel up next to me if she wants to.

Great.  Sounds like you got it worked out but don't be afraid to bring it up again with her parents.  I too was the one who was making agreements that Honey eventually said no too so make sure Marily is part of the process.  Still discuss it so it doesn't surprise you like it did me and Honey.  She was shocked at her families attitude.

I think Marily's parents with a daughter who is a lawyer and one who is a nurse won't be poor nor will their daughters have needs.  They should both be very proud and feel quite secure.

Marily was wearing the pink shirt i sent her while i was watching he on the web cam last night.The shirt was a small & even after she washed it twice it was still too big for her. I guess some of these are pinays are rather "narrow" as compared to even a petite american woman. I don't think i have met very many ladies that were so small. If we decide to marry i guess i will have to be very carefull not to injure her on our wedding night.

not falling down drunk but relaxed.

I am amazed what a few little presents can do.
i just chatted with Marily on yahoo & she was on top of the world
i told her to ware the shirt i sent her to work which she did
all of her co-workers wanted to know where it came from.
so she told them & from what i understand all of them had envy on their faces
he he he , she said she was very happy & thanked me over & over
she said that no one has ever sent her presents before
