Actually, the original judge assigned to hear the appeal, Justice Dizon, had reached a decision finding Smith innocent and reversing his conviction. But when the commies found out about it, the court stalled off on signing off on the report until Justice Dizon reached his mandatory retirement date last June.

Had the feminist-communist group gotten their way and Smith had been confined in a Filipino prison, I do believe that he would be dead by now, which is EXACTLY why we have Visiting Forces Agreements to help protect servicemen from fake charges.

I know exactly how the Olongapo Police Department works this stuff because they have been doing it for years. They convince a young lady to file phony rape charges, in this case gang-rape by 6 Marines, and then wait for a payoff offer to drop the charges. The police and the “victim” then split the loot as already agreed upon.

I’m sure the police fully expected a payoff because the Marines were facing the death penalty if convicted. But then the feminist-communists got involved and all payoff bets were off.

You can bet that the commies are not too happy now, including a few of their Senate cronies.

I'm sure he is glad to get out of the Philipines, but it's disgusting he was forced to.  Perhaps he liked it there and wanted to stay.  The always guilty, responsible for everything, unprotected man is the one who pays the price.  What is it the feminists say about victims?

What do you mean “forced to” leave?

He is still in the Marines and he goes where they tell him. He can’t just stay there if he wants.

Personally, I don’t think old Daniel is out of the woods yet. Now he has to face the military justice system. If I were his commanding officer, I would have him busted out of the service for being an idiot and starting all this mess in the first place by getting drunk and having sex with a young woman in the back of a van and leaving her by the side of the road. He also hurt the image of the military and the US.

That being said, there is no way he deserved 40 years in a Philippine prison for being a dumb-ass.

Everyone here knows it! Most people are happy...except the commies and fem-Nazis! "Nicole" has already "moved on" with her life and living happily ever after in America.
