It's one thing to get the memo, it's another to act on the memo. Most American women have no intention of acting on this advice and their position would be, like it or lump it.

  American women are on the road to ruin an entire generation or two of men in this country if they are not careful.

There's just no way women here are going to act like women anymore. They have it in their heads now that to be a woman is to be inferior and somewhat helpless. I can't remember the last time I saw a woman wear a dress, put on perfume and actually act like a woman. I don't want to arm wrestle or argue all night about stuff that need not be argued about with my date. Dating a black widow, I'll pass.

Women here just don't get it. Men want women to look and act like women. Then to top it off, they also don't understand why men here are going to other countries to find what actually used to be here not that long ago.

They have no one to blame but themselves. It's their loss. My lady wears a dress, wears perfume, allows me to pull out her chair and open doors for her. And in general, acts like a woman. It's kinda sad I had to go to another continent to find a woman who is confident enough in herself to actually look, smell and behave like a woman, but maybe that's why there are so many lesbians. Not enough men to go around anymore...

UC hit the nail on the head-never even going to register with them.   Women resist anything that might remotely be construed as tradational...........like acting like a woman.  Of course they want you to be tradational though.  Online dating reinforces their grandoise opinions and bad behavoir as most women can put up a profile and be bombed with responses.  Their sense of worth and power gets overinflated and is perpetuated.

Had a single expat friend consider a position back here (NYC).  He grew up here, but after spending in the neighborhood again he realized women had even worse attitudes now.  What really blew him away was when he checked the online dating sites and discovered when reading profiles that every attractive woman had an overinflated sense of worth and many were just golddiggers. 

IMBRA is the only indication that women have noticed.  Typically, rather than do something they would rather try to control men's actions to take choice away from them.

Actually, blond American women are more attractive to most of the Colombianos and Latinos I know.

My ex who told me when she left me that no woman would ever want me because i'm fat, bald, old and ugly. (LOL, maybe some of thats true)

She said it again right before I left for the Philippines, of course she had no idea I was even leaving.

After I arrived in country, the ex managed to guess a password to a forum I am on (not this one) and read my pms which included a picture of my very attractive girlfriend.

Of course this pissed her off to no end (and I took such pleasure in her being pissed about it)

Anyway, she is now dating online and getting huge responses, so when I had to see her this week, she still said no woman would ever want me. So I brought up that I had a very sweet girl friend and she changed it to no AMERICAN woman would ever want me. Then she asked why would I even want to go and look overseas for a woman.

Well, any American woman I might attract is going to be much older, most probably not a good woman (why is she single) and will most likely have multiple children who will always come before me and between us. So, that is why I am not looking for an American woman.

BTW, the ex has put on the weight, she is now a very big girl , but she still has a very pretty face. She still gets bombarded on the net.

Come to find out she has a guy or 2 in foreign lands as well, one in Paris and one in the UK. LOL

exactly, UC, exactly...they have economic independence now so they can just dangle their cheese in front of men they find interesting...and then yank it away from them when they're bored, challenged, or the guy is getting 'too close'.  

I remember growing up in the 60's when there was only one car per family in my town - and the husband used it to go to work.  Once my generation was able to get their own car loan (because they had a steady job at the school system, hospital, etc. and their man paid the mortgage on the house) they had the perfect 'setup'  and they only need a man for a 'sperm donor'.  

That brings us currently to Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears era....I'll take my 1970's era latina from Costa Rica, anytime.

thx for the kudos guys....we spent the day with family/relatives yesterday..had a wonderful time...The Costa Rica family experience is similar to what I found in Colombia...very relaxed and mellow.  All the relatives I've met here in CR have a positive attitude regardless of where they are financially..."things" are really not that important in some latin cultures, which is a nice respite from America/go/go/attitude. 

Wife & I decided last night to help out a niece and nephew with a couple laptops that we've outgrown - we're going to make sure the kids stay connected (and the parents don't mis-spend the internet $) - we'll pay the bill online.  Education is their only hope for success, they're both smart as heck and incredibly well-behaved -- a true joy to be around them and their parents. 

BTW, Costa Rican women will put to shame 94% of American women -- yes, a nice segment of Colombians are stunning but some of the Colombian baggage must might not be worth it, imo.  CR rocks.  Go to the big mall in Heredia (a big 'burb of San Jose) for a week, you won't regret it - real people there, not the plastic babes in Escazu (the high end set hang there - nice place for a date though).  Heredia Center (downtown) is an excellent place for clothes, shoes filling up your life with the latin culture in a safe (relatively) area..ditch the plaid shorts, where a CR-team soccer shirt.
