Smoking in Colombia

Hey guys can anyone comment on the popularity of smoking in Colombia? Everyone in Europe seems to smoke, just wondering if South America is the same (I'm hoping to meet nonsmokers).

smoking was pretty common in the class of girls that I met at the socials when I was in Cartagena in 03. Couldnt tell you about the population as a whole. Perhaps Doombug would have the answer if he is around . . . .

If you don't like smokers, I think you will be in luck.  I smoke and all the times I've been to Barranquilla....I can count on one hand the people I've seen smoke.  Not very many.  I don't have the stats like "Da Bug" does....but I'd say  4 out of 2,786,425 people in Colombia smoke.

Out of all the young women I met through agencies and seen out and about in Colombia, very few of them smoked.  If you are looking at agency gals, many of the site profiles state if a girl smokes or not.  If you are not interested in a smoker, then just choose another girl.  Overall I would say there are less young female smokers in Colombia than we have in N. America and Europe.

FWIW- I found a marketing report that says that smoking in Colombia is increasing at the rate of about 2% a year after a decade of decline.

As a former smoker, I was not that interested.

Many agencies will change smoking to non smoking without the girls consent because they want the girls to conform more to what the guys want.

Ask the girl when you write. Generally, the girl will tell you the truth. And if she doesnt, move on. . . . .
