Hello everyone on the board.  I am 30 and live in NE Florida.  This is a great site , i really have learned alot from all who have posted. I am new to the idea of meeting a women in a foreign country and bringing them to our environment. I have looked at quite a few posts from the past and havent found anything specifically addressing the main reason i am looking outside the US. 
What has always bothered me about american women is the fact that our society says you must do this or that to fit in and that you must keep up with the Jones's to be happy in life. Definitely about status around here. It s a social conditioning of sorts. Sorry to continue on about this but it really bothers me.   One of the most attractive aspects of Latin women to me is their loyalty & commitment to family. I am very close to my family and this is important to me

 So to state my concern specifically  the idea of going through the process of meeting and dating and eventually marrying a Latin women and bringing her into our way life - isn't it just a matter of time before they become accustomed/ conform to what i was trying to avoid in the first place?

Well, I believe a lot depends on the type of lady you are trying to bring to the USA. Take your time, get to know her, her family and see what her values are in regards to money, etc. What you are stating can happen but that is a risk you have to take. Maybe some of the married guys on here can offer more insight.

If you pick a woman with character, she'll never forget the culture, morality, and life lessons she learned growing up. If you pick a ditzy, weak women, she'll be influenced by those around her. Ya pays yer money and takes yer choice.

One of the good things about marrying an older woman is that she is much less likely to change. My wife has been in the US for four years and she is the exact same person she was before. Of course this means that she still speaks Spanish exclusively and probably always will so you have to take the good with the bad.
