
9:30 AM (Colombian) today was at a little over 1999/1 and still falling. Mrs. Gator and I have not really been bothered here in Bogotá but we own our apartment in Las Rosales outright and at this point are not dependent on our US Dollars but are still doing well on out peso accounts.

Exporters are becoming very concerned and are putting lots of pressure on the government. We really lucked out when we bought the apartmento four years ago. I have also heard that anyone who has made an advance purchase of property(watch out Cartagena) will be in for a big surprise on that contract. Food prices up somewhat but, all in all, one hellofalot cheaper living than that in the USA
