i normally use skype which allows me to call from anywhere via my laptop. i think cells run about 10 cents on skype

Thanks Papi, I've been on Zaptel for so long at 10 cents to a cell and 5 to a land line. But i'll try these guys. On the skype, if your'e in airports alot, or Chipe (Wifi) or parts of Medellin (which they are getting the entire city Wifi) you know you can get the netgear skype phone and it will replace your laptop. cool phone! can you use it on voice prompts such as to get your voice mail or say press 1 for English when calling a business? I have not figured how to do that on my laptop

I've not tried the prompts....but I use it in all airports from hong kong to dallas. I'm in business with a group that is Wifi'ng Medellin in the next 2 years, the entire city (total) will be wifi....we have a contract to move to cali as well, though that is not funded as yet. We'll see.

very cool...wifi the entire city. The phone is slick but pricey. I can't see the average gringo needing it but for work - cool biz. Prompts would be an important feature
