Thanks Guys

i appreciate everything. Really was not a shotgun wedding at all because we have been together 9 months and in January we discussed what we wanted for our future and we both knew we did not want to lose each other and so we decided to plan a wedding. I spend a lot of time living with her and her family the past 2 trips, seeing how they are all dedicated to there jobs, children family, so i had absolutely no doubts that this woman was the one for me. We married on a beautiful sunny day, March 17, 2007. We had a small wedding attended by about 40 guests and was just wonderful. Her whole family, and they are maybe 30 of them accepted me with open arms. Her brother-in-laws family offered there house for the wedding and they surprised u with a Mariache band as well. I really do love her family as well and they are always concerned if i am happy. There house is my house and everything in it they tell me. I really hope all the guys here that really do want to find a great woman for there life not give up and also i really do reccomend Ecuador  as far as a culture of people that live a very practical lifestyle and they tend to think more about the future then today as some Latin culture do. Thanks for all you guys support. even though i bust some chops here from time to time and you guys bust mine, we are all a small brotherhood looking for the same end to a wonderful future.

Congratulations!

I thought you were hinting at that when I read a post a couple of days ago, and I got a little curious.

I thought that was pretty quick too; but you know, I think if someone learns from all their experiences in this, they just learn how to weed through all the crap. Then when they find the one, it is very evident. I think that is what happens... It just becomes obvious.

Just curious, have made the final decision about moving there?

Congrats again! She is a good looking girl. I think all the guys on here have pretty good looking girls.

Thanks VD

Yes, we decided that she is going to move here until my daughter is in college, which is 7 years, her house is paid for in Quito, so we will rent her house. She is going to take a course here to get up to speed on the accounting here in the US, which is about a 6 month course, and then she will either sit for the CPA or just get a job as a HR/Payroll position, ect. She is very smart, graduated from collage at age 20 and has been a CFO since she was 24 and she is taking English classes 5 days a week one on one, so i expect the language for her not to be an issue. Then we will move back to Quito as soon as my daughter is in college. She is very understanding of the Guilt i would have leaving my daughter.

Oh, it's hard work having to look at all these photos of hot Latinas. Good thing you've got such a devoted group here on Planet Love. You guys look very happy - I liked seeing the family and friends. She is another of those photogenic Latinas and I love that hair!

Did not mean anything bad by the phrase"SINGLE GUYS"  Fot the old timers on this forum, they know the hell, deciet and lies i endured with my first latin wife. I only meant that even though i got bloodied, i did not lose faith and in the end, i found the right woman.

Congratulations hope everything works out so that everybody is happy forever.

Say, thinking of another recent thread, and at the risk of somebody calling me a 'nutjob' too.....you mentioned "we discussed what we wanted for our future" and "Her whole family, and they are maybe 30 of them accepted me with open arms." .... For those who were still wondering,THAT'S why learning Spanish is important. Isn't it nice to be truly a part of the family, and when necessary, talk about really private stuff without having to involve a third party?

Yes
I have not needed a translator in maybe 4 years and the ease and level being comfortable with her family helped me a lot . I got so many stories about my wife from her life before and it was all in natural conversations that i just was satisfied that i was not marrying a woman that has secrets that were dealbreakers.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply you said anything bad. Just meant the advice from people who've been through it is much appreciated.
