A very unusual question, but I'm basically curious to know if anybody knows or seen any paraplegic having success in Latin America?

I have a good friend of mine, pretty good fellow in his early 40's, even after a serious motorcycle injury, continues to work (although no longer in construction). He told me he tried online dating 5 years ago, but women would stop writing after he sent a photo or revealed his condition, even women who were also differently-abled wouldn't give him a chance. I asked him about traveling south, but he's very skeptical (and rightly so) and insists on not attracting unwanted attention, especially for his condition.

Any ideas? or hope?

I thought this page was both informative and inspirational.

There is a dude running around without arms in the I Love Latin's video.
(It's been a while, so it might have been the TLC video)

Anyway, he had metal arms with claw hands, wearing shorts with sandals, and black socks. I'm not sure how things turned out for him, but he was working it.

I've brought up the topic to my friend who is also in a wheelchair. Though he has a really difficult time with planes. Not sure the travel back and forth would work, but I think it's a great idea if they can do it.

i met a guy at BQ best a few years ago in a chair. He was having the time of his life. Last I heard, he moved to Santa Marta on the coast
Red Bull may give you wings, but if Flakes could fly - BAQ is in fact an airport

anything is possible, and i am sure he would have bettter odds in south america or the phillippines than the USA. tell him to take some photos of himself, explain his situation, life style and what he is looking for, write a brief bio and send them to some girls down south or to the far east and see if he gets any bites.
