I want to sing the praises and my thanks to Latin Cupid. And I am sure Cyber Cupid is good too. I have been on Latin for only a couple of weeks and have chatted with dozens of girls. What is nice about it is that you can get the girls to fall in love with you before your arrival or AOA (amor on arrival). You know something about them before you even step off the plane. Brilliant! 

Furthermore, you can weed out the flakes in advance so you don't waste time and money on pizzas and taxis. Like the girl in peru who needed $10,000 startup to open a new taxi business. On the 21 hottie that placed a small purchase order for a makeup pen - she has dropped off the charts too. Not because of the pen, but because she got flaky on me overtime. I think someone once said to avoid the young hotties.

I have a few in the barn but my #1 star is a small town girl not far from bucaramanga. From what I can gather, great wifey material. She has family in the USA and I have already chatted with them.

Anyway, again my thanks Latin Cupid..on amigos.com, well, my mother told me not to say anything if I don't have something nice to say. I will keep you updated on my new digital romance....

Gosh, PP, you are on a winning streak!  If a latina has familia in the USA, that's great!  You can do due diligence on the familia in the USA (throughout the dating relationship) when you have time and if she is imported to the US, this may minimize homesickness.  She should be near the top of your stack of prospects becuz of that IMO.

Motivations are a major issue. Depending on the degree of relationship, the girl in question may have other motivations to get here. For example, the sibling of a US Citizen has a decade-plus wait to emigrate based on a petition in the 4th family preference category- over 2 decades in the PI. While children of the sibling can emigrate with the family as derivatives, they can "age out" and be left behind.

When you see aunts or uncles living in the US, be very cautious. You may find that the prospective "support group" for her has a different game plan than you do

I would tend to be on the cautious side with William3rd, concerning the fact that she has family here.  You being my hero and all, I think it's great your meeting a bunch of women and formulating a game plan BEFORE heading to where-ever, but you can't afford to not be cautious.  I'm not being negative, I'm keeping it real.  It's been said many times and in different ways, but BEWARE of ladies falling head over heels in love with you over the internet before you even meet.  No matter who you are or who you're talking to...that's just crazy and unrealistic. 

Also, I would down play your good attributes more so than build them up for the simple fact that many times (maybe not most times, but many) when people meet from the internet....they tend to build themselves up into this other person and that will only disappoint the other person.  However, if you under-play your good stuff, then when she meets you....you will (hopefully) be better than what she anticipated, rather than the other way around.  I mean, you can't hide the truth once she meets you.

One more thing...my advice would be to NOT commit to anything over the internet.  From my years of experience of online dating and meeting I've found that it works best for me to keep it casual.  If they start all the "te amo"'s and stuff...just remind them that they haven't met you in person yet and they should wait before getting too emotionally involved.

Sean, so i don't bust her bubble when we finally meet... should I tell her that I am a chubby member of the men's hairclub of america in good standing and that she has to pay for her half of the pizza on our first date?
