Mas Tico tidbits
« on: January 18, 2007, 05:42:37 PM »
Well, here’s an interesting agency workaround, run an ad in the local paper….like Larry:

American gentleman looking for a lady friend.  I will pay for college or professional training. Call me for dinner at restaurant to see if we are compatible. Must speak English, must do housework if it fits in your schedule. Age 21 to 40 and nice looking. I will also pay rent and food and must stay at my large apartment with me. Live in Pavas. I’m a little over 60 and in good health. Larry 220-xxxx.  Parking for car. I’m friendly and you must be also.

Or then you have

If you’re 18-29 & would like an American boyfriend for affection & money please email  to…

Then there is Gringo 55+ seeking honest, fit body, love animals, nature, wants deep intimacy…

El Ruso, I have some amigos that ran newspaper ads in colombia. It can work - but you need someone there to field the calls. I think the guys in CR above are just going to end up with pros and don't know why they want to bother to run ads offering money and such...the entire city is a brothel. Gringos can meet good girls in CR, especially if they move here and outside the city.

I have seen several of those adds in the local papers here in panama. My favorite is something like:

Successful american business man, looking for company of beutiful lady 18-25, dinners, theater, movies. Has to be open minded and willing to try new things.

IMO a guy who is over 50 (and not George Clooney) going for a pretty 18 yo girl will end up with a pro 99% of the time.  He is essentially offering to hire one longterm.  If you have doubts, remember when YOU were 18 yourself.  Would you sleep with a 50 or 60 yo woman out of love?  Probably not.  (just my guess though)

Anyway, it is obvious you DO seem to like the idea, so go for it I guess.

a newbie gringo that i took by the hand and showed around town bought me dinner last night at a wonderful Peruvian restaurant called Machu Pichu...the piscos were weak but the seafood was sensational. In the event any of you go to San Jose - this is a must stop!  They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, well yu will fall in love with this place. Makes me want to head back to Peru - the Paris (at least the food) of Latin America. Order the sea bass with mariscos. The only downside, the damn taxi didn't flip on the meter and I didn't catch it. If the gringo was not with me - I would have told the taxi to shove it

For those on a Trump budget, consider Hotel M www.hotelmcostarica.com

Dinner at Machu and a few nights and Hotel M and you will fall in love. The downsides: I am not sure what exactly is involved in getting a visa for your novia to come to CR and the city is full of pros. But what a great country to explore!

Isa very nice. I like very much.

I very excite. I would very much like make romance inside her on this trampoline of sexy time.

High five!

From what I read I think it would be relatively easy on the VISA process because they have that Direct Consulate Filing (or what it is called). That's why I had CR on my radar at one time. Of course thought I don't have any experience with any of that. It was just my conclusion after reading around.

My main draw back was that I can never find many chickees that interest me on the sites for the "agency workaround".

I actually had a ticket to go down, but I jumped ship at the last minute. I think that she felt secure after she knew I was visiting, so that is why she started the games, so I just cancelled.

Is it just me or does that hotel have like 10 different rooms and the only thing changing is the sink?

I call the Moderno room!

VD

P.S.
A little off topic, but I wanted to say that chickee was giving me a "pink flag" and then I remembered the flag post. I think that was DB? Do you have a link to that post with all those flag colors? That was the best post I ever saw!

DB, I am invited to a party there this evening but don't think I can share the pics in the PG section.

VD, CR is good hunting but more of a long term play. That is you'd probably need to move here unless you are a young, good looking guy and like to work the clubs. There is no shortage of ST (short-time)

Gosh these latinas are sexy! Anybody seen Cumbia? I am told they dance Cumbia in other parts of LA but I have only seen it in CR. I hope I may have inspired some of you guys to checkout CR - it is truly a beautiful country full of volcanoes, hot springs, great beaches, fishing and of course sexy latinas.

Meeting a nice girl might not be as easy as Colombia but it is doable. Plus, it is a great place to take your novia. I leave for Panama manana. Cuban cigars, Havana Club Rum, and lobster sandwiches.

I was in CR a few months ago, and saw the Ticos dance cumbia. Their style is unique to CR, with all that hopping around, not at all they way cumbia is danced in other countries. They even have a special name for it, "swing criollo". It's fun to watch  ;D

Papi,

are you saying you have been to Colombia, and have NOT seen people dance cumbia?  The only way it is possible is if you don't know the difference between say salsa, cumbia and other dances.  Cumbia is VERY popular in Colombia.  A variation of cumbia is probably the most popular dance in Mexico too, and a form of cumbia supposedly is popular in Argentina, but I have not been there.

In Mexico, they have "cumbia sonidera" which is somewhat similar to CR cumbia, but not exactly the same..In Colombia like el_ruso said, cumbia is very popular but is danced differently.
