Hello Zack good to hear from you and thanks for the kind words (and my wife is still beautifull). To answer your questions, The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Relations gives out different types of visas to foreigners according to the activity they plan to carry out in Colombia. "Temporal TS" is a visa classification (the "TS" stands for temporal especial ) that covers a broad range of activities including retirement, medical treatment, judicial proceedings, ownership of a commercial establishment, other business, United nations volenteer, landlord and adoption . It´s temporary, good for one year and must be renewed annualy at the ministry in Bogotá. After five consecutive years of receiving that visa you can apply for a resident visa which is permanent so long as you don´t leave Colombia for more than two years at a stretch. Some other visas are TE estudiante, TR religious worker, TT trabajador. Also CO courtesy visa, NE negocios, BA foreign airline employee, TA refugee, RN national resident (married to a Colombian) RC (mine) classified resident, RI resident investor, VT tourist for the countries Colombia requires a tourist visa from and one called Visiting technition. Ugh! Maybe more than you wanted to know. Ok "D.A.S." is Department of Administrative Security and "migratorio" was short for Certificado De Movimiento Migratorio refring to all your travels in and out of Colombia registered by D.A.S.
