Tired Of Colombia....... Want to try Honduras or Costa rica

Hi All

Hope you are all well
Been sometime since I posted on here, but to put it bluntly, I am tried and fed up of Colombia . been there 4 times now over the last few years and always gone to Barranquilla. I have used latincupid but as most of you will agree, the amount of time wasters on there in unbelievable.
Anyway, as I said, not willing to waste any more of my hard earned cash in Colombia, Yes I am sure there are many good ladies down there but seeding out the bad ones sure ain't easy as we all know, some guys have got lucky and found happiness and i am sure in the future other guys will.
Anyway, I wanted to ask about Honduras and Costa Rica as I have decided to try one of these places next, I like the look of the site in Honduras that as been mentioned in another forum but as anyone acutely used there services.
Any advice on either of these places will be appreciated especially from anyone who as visited these places!!!

a) maybe your problem isnt Colombia, its Barranquilla.  Perhaps try other cities with different cultures?  I hear the paisas are very hogarena

b) as far as central america; if you like that look, more power to you.   I generally avoid central america/peru/ecuador girls because their bodies tend to be more square (if that makes sense) and a little too indigenous for my tastes.

You might check out the bar scene in San Pedro before you say that... or go anywhere in Honduras (like La Ceiba).

There is an agency in Honduras that will run and keep track of the responses for a newspaper ad if that is of interest. Amor Si.

If you don't mind saying what was your bad experience exactly?  I remember seeing you in Barranquilla and you seemed like you were doing pretty good with the ladies.  I see nothing wrong with trying new countries, actually I think it is good to get new experiences, I'm just curious why you are down on Colombia though.  I made many trips to Colombia before finding my wife and just found myself getting more and more addicted to the country, it seems to be the other direction for you. 

You could also consider places like Peru, Brazil, or Argentina.  I seemed to remember a lot of young attractive women from Peru on the HI5 website, which is free and a good starting point.

Hope you are well bro, Not heard from you in a long time, Thanks for your reply.
Well maybe its my bad luck that as put me off Colombia, As I said, I have been 4 times now to Barranquilla, I always appear to end up with a LIAR or a girl that is deceiving.
I decided early in my venture that I did not want a career girl, I just wanted a "plain jane" so to say. i havent given up totally on Colombia and did think about other places, but to be honest Cali and Medellin do not appear to me, especially Medellin.
I have a lot of experience with Colombia and now speak spanish very well indeed.
I got fed up with the social network sites like hi5 etc, colombiancupid etc.
To be honest fathertime I do not know what to do next? I learned spanish simply because I want to finally find someone special in south america and because I now speak it very well, do not want to have done this for nothing.
I know Brazil speak Portuguese so would be a problem there and I i did think about Peru but it doesnt seem to have the same quality of girls there and no agency.

You surely have not been to Ecuador if you think the majority of the women there have square bodies and look like Indians. Only up in the Andes will you see that. The rest of the countries women have a very European look to them, very tall and lighter colored skin in Quito. Costenas look exactly like the women from Barranquilla and Guayaquil might as well be a larger version of Barranquilla as the two cities are layed out the same, feel the same and the women are the same and let me tell you, you will not find more traditional women in Latin America, save Peru, then you will in Ecuador. Craig, if you want a traditional woman, this would be a goo place to look, but no agencies as that is not Ecuadorian culture.

you're probably right.  I have other reasons for not choosing ecuadorian girls.   the ones I have met here in the US have been unimpressive, especially their conniving.  but that is just one man's experience

You have not said what you want. I would bet you $100 that any problem you had in Colombia would be magnified 10x in Costa Rica. The place is Gringo-fied like nowhere else. Cross it off your list.

You must not like women from Eastern Europe. They are closer to you. Though I would avoid Russian speakers (Belarus, Ukraine, etc).

Sorry to hear you came up short in BAQ. Yes you do need to be willing to weed through the bad ones, but you would need to do that in any country you
were looking for a woman in, even England. I found my lady in BAQ as have some others here, but I don't think that limiting yourself to one city helped much.

But definitely there are many other choices in Central America & elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that in anyway. Keep in mind however, that you will still have to
do the same thing in (fill in country here) as in Colombia. You're going to have to play the games and do your due dilligence until you find someone suitable for you.
No one here (at least I don't think anyone did) found their woman easily, and whether you use an agency or go on your own, there is still work involved in the process.

They won't be in a single file line waiting for you at the airport, so another country is not going to be any easier than Colombia. There is no magic country or city,
so make sure that the country you decide to try this next time represents the type of woman that fits your personality and that her culture and background is what you
are expecting. If not, you'll have another bad trip to chalk up. Colombia is definitely not the only place to find a woman. Just make sure you understand the people and
the culture of your next choice and make sure you have some decent Spanish in case you get lost or you actually hit it off with someone.

I'll agree with you on this one. If you're beyond your early 30s pass on Costa Rica (unless you are going there for different reasons). But the younger guys would enjoy San Pedro.

Are you making reference the political issues that made the news in the recent past? Or that SAP & TGU are dangerous? Or are you commenting on the women in general?

Hey Craig, I know you have run into your share of flakes and interesadas in BAQ, but I think it still has a bunch of great women there. You just need to stick with it. It is hard there because of the horrible, sticky, heat everyday, but they are there.

Check out Whitey's recent photos of his beautiful gal, and Fathertime, myself, Pivery, and a couple other guys I know have hooked up with seemingly great gals from BAQ within the last year or so.

I too, thought of other places, but after the calculations, Colombia still came out pretty good for me and seems to have paid off.

It seems to me you are doing just fine.  I would be too hard or impatient with the process, you are still very young in the overall scheme of things.  You have put yourself in position now to hit it big, so it would seem you just need to put yourself out there and see what happens.  For me, I always felt it was a question of a lot of good options, there were a few gals that I sensed something less then honorable with, but on the whole I felt the ladies were not perfect but 'good women' and potentially good spousal material.  Some of the white lies are just a part of the process, it really depends on the exact circumstances, which you can be the judge of.
If you are fed up with Colombia, it makes to experience other countries.  Based on all I have experienced and read there is no place like Colombia (Barranquilla for me), but if you can get a good set of contacts in other country no harm in trying it out.

One thing I learned from trying other countries is that the place didn't have as much to do with this process as I thought it did.Think back on your experiences and see if there is anything you can learn from them...thats all they are good for anyway.

From what I read here Brazil has a lot of similarities with Colombia. It's just more expensive and there is the language barrier (which is not that bad, because most of girls here can understand Spanish just fine...).
